The Moss lab is dedicated to building and maintaining an inclusive and equitable research environment that celebrates diversity of people, thought and ideas. We will work to lower the barriers for individuals belonging to historically underrepresented groups in science and provide tailored mentorship for each trainee to support their development and growth. Diverse and inclusive interdisciplinary research groups that welcome outside views are critical to ensuring that innovative scientific questions are posed, and cutting-edge tools are developed to address these questions and accelerate scientific discovery. We also strongly believe that patients deserve to have their voices heard in research and we hope to inspire and support people who are directly impacted by their research topics to pursue careers in science and medicine.
